Undertaking under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of
India, has recently completed its 40 years of tireless journey in serving the
poor persons with disabilities (PWDs) and Children with Special Needs (CWSNs)
in the Country by providing them the free of cost assistive devices / aids
& appliances under the various Govt. Schemes. The Corporation in its
operations, under the stewardship of our dynamic and visionary Hon’able
Chairman and Managing Director, Sh. Narayanrao G., now touching new highs and
cover entire India to serve the PWDs & CWSNs by penetrating to all the 35
states/union territories, down up to the level of 627 districts and 5500 blocks
to serve the orthopedically, visually and hearing
impaired/disabled/differently-abled population of our country. They are
the most deprived group of the society. Majority of them are in rural areas,
illiterate and having no employment. As such most of them are
unaware of various Government schemes, under which the assistive
devices are provided free of charges to them. I strongly believe you too
can help those deprived group through the ALIMCO.

CMD at Margao City in GOA State, of Assistive devices (aids & appliances) to Children with special
needs (CWSNs) by the Hon’able Chief Minister of Goa State, Sh. Manohar Parrikar
(IIT Bombay Alumni) on 14th January 2013, also present the Ex-Chief
Minister of Goa State, Sh. Digamber Kamath.
